Store Review: Cold Turkey

I must admit I was sad when I discovered Take A Hit would be closing its doors to make way for Cold Turkey’s new location. I had never visited their previous store, located near Queen & Sherbourne, but I had tried a few of their juices before and had enjoyed them.

I was impressed when I went to visit them, just a few days after re-opening at Queen & Spadina. In a short time they had transformed the space into a professional-looking, clean, welcoming environment. The cash register even sits atop a built-in gas fireplace.

I have visited this location several times and have always been impressed with the level of service they provide. The workers are not only good salespeople, but they are also juice savants of the highest caliber – they know their products well, and they know how to tailor the testing experience for each unique customer.

They feature a wide selection of e-juice and even create their own premium liquids. Although most of their house blends are high VG, they also have a line called Bangerang (in which the flavours are named after elements from Peter Pan) that is a 50/50 ratio. What is most impressive is that they carry Evaperated’s much-coveted Blue Sky, Bitch which is the best blue raspberry flavour available on the market. They also have two large glass cases full to the brim of hardware, including mods, starters, drip tips, and coils.

If you’re ever in downtown Toronto, I highly recommend this store as an excellent resource for both beginners and experienced vapers.
